Lueenas
Lueenas is the first "film score band" in Denmark insisting on collaboration as a core and vital part of their composition process.
Since they started in 2019, Lueenas have rapidly marked themselves as a new fresh voice in the Danish film score scene. They rebel against the idea of the composer as a solo genius through a process that involves thorough experimentation with the limits imposed by their string instruments and playing with the boundaries between acoustic, amplified and electronic sound sources.
In the past year, Lueenas has made works for the National Museum, feature films for Nordisk Film and several series for Danish Broadcasting Television, and worked with some of Denmark's unique figures in film production Tone Ottilie, Martin De Thurah, on the film Baby Pyramid by Cecilie McNair—for which they were nominated for a Robert and most recently they were also nominated for the prestigious Carl Award as composers of the year.
