Museum Jorn
On February 8, 2024, Museum Jorn launched the exhibition, Jorns Fællesskaber, celebrating Asger Jorn's profound involvement in artistic communities, which he believed played a crucial role in the evolution of both art and society.
A central feature of the exhibition was a room dedicated to Jorn’s experimental work with music, where visitors can listen to compositions created by Jorn and fellow artist Jean Dubuffet. This immersive space also displays archival materials, including photographic documentation and musical instruments from their creative collaborations.
As part of the celebration of Asger Jorn’s 100th birthday, Museum Jorn introduced its most extensive exhibition to date. The event was further enriched by an improvisational musical performance by Henrik Knarborg Larsen (marimba) and Jonathan Slaatto (cello), adding a dynamic auditory dimension to the visual art on display.
